The who’s who of Australia’s fashion media along with key watch collectors around the country, gathered for the official opening of Australia’s first Seiko Watch boutique. Hosted by Seiko Watch Corporation COO, Mr. Hirohiko Umemoto, guests were treated to a traditional Japanese celebration with sushi followed by an intimate showing of the boutique store located in the Queen Victoria Building.
Showcasing the only three watches in the world from this year’s Credo range was the talking point of the evening, including the Spring Drive Minute Repeater valued at $440,000 as well as the $61,000 Credor time-teller and the Credor Spring Drive Sonnerie valued at $200,000. Delicately crafted with extreme precision and using only premium materials, the Credor range marks another milestone for Seiko as a leading manufacturer of timepieces.
The boutique will reside alongside Sydney’s ritziest stores in the QVB, displaying Seiko’s most prestigious collections, including the Credor range as well as Grand Seiko and Astron and several other watches never before seen in Australia. The boutique will also have a resident Seiko watchmaker to assist customers with technical information and assistance.
